There are a bunch of them around here wanting to order "Impeach Obama" bumper stickers already. (Even though he's not in office yet, and has certainly not committed an impeachable offense, like, say... lying to put our country into war...) Why can't they follow the lead of McCain who said "Support your President?" He was elected by a larger majority than Bush ever had. What part of "valid election" don't they understand? Why do they want to tear our country apart when we finally have a President who's trying to bring us together? Josh: Look at the answers directly above and below you. THAT'S why I make the statements I do - based on these morons. And apparently most of you can't tell the difference between a popular president-elect and a war criminal. I agree that it's patriotic to question your gov't (big fan of Thomas Jefferson), but the big difference is that Bush destroyed our country (and our economy) and Obama hasn't even been sworn in yet. A lot of people now think that very few things make them patriotic, such as putting up a flag, sticking a bumper sticker on their car saying "I support the troops" and wearing an "I'm proud to be an American" T-shirt. But I think you have to do more than that. If you consider yourself a patriot then what makes you a patriot? If you don't consider yourself a patriot, what makes a patriot in general? Sophie I meant people who do NOTHING but put a bumper sticker on their car to BE patriotic. Not show their patriotism, but good answer based on what I asked for. I'd be honored to die or at least risk my lifefor my country like so many of my family members have. Actually David, many many presidents have aided other countries even though the people didn't like it. Even from the beginning with George Washington. Abe Lincoln got involved with another country, The Confederate States of America, even though we didn't need to. At least according to you David. If we hadn't intervened then your patriotism would be for a country composed of different states and territories. Therefore you're unpatriotic. Even in WWII we declared war on Germany even though they did nothing to us. And Sophie like I said, I meant people who are fake patriots. If you are patriotic I don't care how you show it. I only care that you mean it if you do show it. TONGASURFER: I only used America as an example, I meant patriotic for any country. If you paid attention, which you didn't, you would know this. It disgusts me how many people make fun of George W. Bush. Especially when it's coming from residents not of the USA. But then again, Americans are acting out in this childish manner, so why shouldn?t other people living in other countries do the same? There are shirts, shows, posters, and bumper stickers, basically anything that includes words created just to make fun of Bush. How is this patriotic? I completely understand and support anyone who has a disagreement with the president; it's only right that you should be upset and want to change something that is making your life harder than what it should be. But so many people go about these disagreements the wrong way. It almost seems they are not smart enough to know that they can do something to fix a problem other than sitting around making fun of our president. What does it say about our country when we sit around making fun of our president? You don?t see other countries making fun of their leaders. And like I said, and want to clarify, it is only right that you should be upset and want change if something is making your life harder than what it should be, and it is patriotic to disagree with your president, however it is not in any way shape or form right that we disgrace our president, as it makes us look weak and ridiculous. We, mocking the president, are just as bad as the people making our lives harder to live. I am tired and annoyed, but would like answers, maybe I am thinking too much in to things, or maybe I hold too much faith in our Presidents or I just think if we support our president more than we have been, things might get better. Either way; answers, comments, opinions? are all welcomed. Also, I include our next President in this question, because the candidates who are running for president are already being made fun of and they haven?t even made it in to the office. So you know who ever gets it, will be mocked just as bad as Bush is/was. I'm not in Iraq fighting, because there is no draft and I have a choice to not join. Also, if a terriost is going to attack there going to attack reguard who the president is. Do you honestly think 9/11 would not have happened if Kerry had been elected... of course we will never know. But I honestly think it would have happened no matter who was in office, and I firmly belive no matter what Bush did in reaction to 9/11 no one would be happy about it, because everyone experienced somthing different from that day, and nothing can be done, that would make everyone happy. Yes he is a funny dude, and I am deff not one to to disagree with that, but I don't mean having a few chuckles at his expense is bad, but things have gotten out of hand. I was on my way to school today and I saw a "Life's a bit** so don't vote for one" bumper sticker. This was the first I've seen, I got a picture and posted it on myspace, but couldn't figure out how to get it to show here. I looked on the web and found a few funny ones. I can't believe this is the first I've heard of these. I am a college student in Pennsylvania. My school has it's share of liberal nuts, but it's mostly a patriotic blue collar town. I am an independent, probably going to go republican this election, want to vote dem...but they put up two extremist...what was wrong with John Edwards??
